With the busy spring and summer months now upon us, thought I would see what you others operators have in mind for the summer season.
Missing Dayton hamvention again this year. Cost of gas and time restraints top my list of true excuses. Although Dayton should be a annual event, certainly has been 7 years since I stepped foot on the gounds.
For the newer ham operators out there, if you get a chance to go, -Go. Certainly worth the time even if the cost of new gear isn't in the budget right now. Just going to the many workshops and Rag-chewing with other operators is certainly getting your monies worth. The overall trip is not that expensive unless your flying in from some distant land etc.
Don't forget to bring along some QSL cards for your to QSL Direct with when you meet someone interesting. They always appreciate it and you will to when someone hands you theres.
So perhaps I see you there in '09, we'll see.
